What is a decision-support product?
A product built to help a person reach a clearer answer in one specific decision moment — with scoped inputs, named outputs, and an honest handoff when a human should take over.
The shape of a decision-support product
It does one decision well. It tells you what it is for and what it is not for. It cites or shows its inputs. It routes to a human when the right answer is outside its scope.
Why this matters
Most 'AI tools' try to be everything. Useful products are the opposite — narrow, honest, and good in their lane.
